What is the Speak Clear Method? What can I expect to learn?
It is my belief that clear thinking equals clear communication. The process of clarifying thoughts on a page is the first step toward public speaking excellence; the second part is connecting your heart and mind to the words on the page. Today’s media-saturated world undervalues the spoken word: it can take work to reconnect one’s heart and mind to one’s words. I can help facilitate that process. It is my belief that the best speakers focus not on themselves, but rather, the audience. They take the attention off themselves, and by so doing, they create a rapport with the audience. It is my belief that there is no material that can’t be livened up by the presence of personal anecdote, wit and storytelling; even multi-million dollar client pitches, Power Point presentations, and jury summations benefit from the personal touch.
The Speak Clear method is about learning to harness the power of language, learning to reduce negative thoughts around the issue of public speaking, having a clear objective with your speech or presentation, utilizing personal anecdotes and storytelling to prove your point, and becoming an audience-focused speaker, so you can learn how to engage, connect, inspire, and persuade.
